A. R. Zamaku is a New York–based author and graduate of Hunter College, where he earned a B.A. in English with a focus in creative writing. Before fully committing himself to fiction, he worked in the fast-paced world of finance, including time on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

He now works in building services while continuing to pursue his writing with discipline and long-term purpose. His work is shaped by a deep interest in history, character, and the endurance of people under extreme circumstances.
