About.

A. R. Zamaku was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1984. His father emigrated from Albania to New York in the late 1960s, working as a yellow taxi cab driver. His mother, who emigrated from Montenegro around the same time, was a dedicated stay-at-home mom.

He attended public school and went on to graduate from Hunter College with a BA in English, focusing on creative writing. Before completing his degree, he entered the workforce, starting as a floor runner on the New York Stock Exchange. He later became a Brokerage Clerk, but after several years, he realized the financial world wasn't his true calling. He currently works in building services, an environment that provides him with the calm and reflective space needed to think and write.
Now a debut author, A. R. Zamaku is passionately pursuing his dream of becoming a full-time novelist. He currently lives in Riverdale, Bronx, with his lovely wife and two children.
